“There is a lot more to come from Manchester City”, claims the Blues’ playmaker, David Silva
Manchester City’s playmaker, David Silva, has claimed that the Blues are progressing well and are on track to achieve their targets this season. The Spanish midfielder sent a warning to all the rivals that there is still much more to come from Manchester
City.
He said, “There is a lot more to come. It is difficult because it has been a lot of people's first season here. It is hard to gel and come together as a unit in that short space of time. But we have proved we are becoming more of a proper side and the more
we play together the better we will become”.
Silva scored the winning goal in Manchester City’s latest Premier League win over Wigan Athletic to cut down the lead over league leaders, Manchester United, to only seven points.
Roberto Mancini’s team is currently placed third in the League standings with 53 points to their credit out of 29 games.
Moreover, Manchester City is also playing their trade in the FA Cup.
Roberto Mancini’s men are set to face League One side, Reading, in the quarterfinal after defeating Aston Villa at home in the previous round. The Blues are favourites to make it through to semifinals of the League Cup for the first time in 30 years.
Manchester City finished as the leaders of their Europa League group, which was tipped as the ‘Group of Death’ as it included the likes of Juventus, Salzburg and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lech-Poznan-c39779.
Citizens, who are also favourites to win Europa League this season, defeated Sparta in Round of 32 of the competition and will face Ukrainian giants, Dynamo Kiev, this week.

However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601, who has been very influential for the Citizens this season, has refused to prioritise any competition but expressed his desire to triumph in every single tournament in which Manchester City are playing.
The 25-year-old said, “Let's hope we can get both. We are in a good league position now and still alive in the two cup competitions. Let's hope we can keep doing this and stay in the top four and at least guarantee the Champions League next season”.
However, Manchester City boss, Roberto Mancini, has already publicly stated that the club’s main aim for this season is to qualify for the next year’s UEFA Champions League.
By looking at City’s performance in the Barclays Premier League, it seems like they will be surely one of the four clubs who will participate in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
