Most of the cricket analysts around the world are of the opinion that Pakistan is the most fertile land when it comes to producing cricketers of the highest ability. This is the reason why that the Green Shirts have done so well at the highest stage of the
game in the four decades, even though there is no strong structure of domestic cricket in the country.
International cricket has been away from Pakistan since 2009 but still Pakistan is doing exceedingly well. Any other cricket team in the world would have struggled if they had no home matches to play.
The domestic under-19 competition in Pakistan has just finished and Sabih, while talking to Pakpassion, expressed that immense talent was on display during the tournament and there are many budding cricketers who have the ability to represent the country
at the senior level in future.
However, there have been many cricketers in the past who were highly rated in junior cricket but they failed to deliver the goods at the senior level. Sabih feels that it is up to the individual how fast he wants to learn the tricks of the trade.
Sabih said, "The Under 19 domestic circuit has been very competitive this time around and I have seen a number of youngsters who I feel have the potential to play for Pakistan in future. This of course depends on their willingness to learn, to work hard
and to develop their cricket. Sometimes cricketers at junior level look the part but don't always develop at the rate of others."
