There is a noise that is coming out of the boiler cupboard. I don't know the best way to describe the noise but the closest I can get the description is it sounds like a whale making a noise.

Any ideas what it may be - and additional advise will be a great help!

  1. it could be the boogie man if it is tell him u wanna booogie wooogie ooogie with him

  2. It could be water hammer, try holding the pipes with your hand to see if they vibrate. If your water is getting boiling hot, get a plumber in as it can be dangerous

  3. Does the water seem hotter than it should when coming from the taps? I mean, like really steaming?  Could be the thermostat is knackered, and water is overheating. If so, get it looked at by a plumber, could be dangerous.

  4. The pumps knackered and there is no water in the heating system.Time to call the heating engineer.
