  1. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT IT IS A VIRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF U ALREADY HAV NORTON THEN U DONT NEED THAT ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!! BELIEVE DO NOT CLICK IT IT WILL RUIN YOUR COMPUTOR AND I DOUBT YOU WANT THAT, MY DAD IS A COMPUTOR GEEK AND I KNOW THESE THINGS ARE VIRUSES DO NOT CLICK IT!!!!!!!

  2. Remove with Superantispyware. http://www.superantispyware.com

    Mind Doctor, France

  3. Don't do anything to that shield.

It sounds like Antivirus 2008 which IS a virus!!! If you open it, you will go nuts trying to get rid of it. It took me many virus scans and spyware scans to get rid of it. A way I found to get rid of it (temporarily), was to go into Task Manager, select processes and "End Process" for anything like AVS2008. That will stop it from annoying you, while you run AVG antivirus, Ad-Aware 2008 and Spybot S&D ( free ) install them, and run them.  ( Google and download them ). I did a "Search" in my system, found the folder it was in and deleted AV2008.

    Good luck,

    DW

  4. Sounds like spyware trying to make you pay for a fake anti-virus. I'm not surprised Norton can't pick it up, since Norton sucks... I suggest you switch to a better anti-virus and scan your computer with that instead. If you don't want to switch, at least make sure to keep Norton up to date and scan for viruses every now and then.

  5. If it has a Shield it might be: Vista Antivirus 2008.  This is really a Virus, that people are downloading.  People are thinking this is from Microsoft, since it says "VISTA ", so beware.

    Try first, before  Reformat,

Download Spybot , download Defender, restart computer, then run Spybot.  See what comes up after Scan.

If you are infected, and files are corrupted, the best thing to do is Reformat. SAVE ALL YOUR DOC, MUSIC AND PICS.

    You will loose ALL.

Virus Protection-- 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection.

Running Spybot and Defender, with EITHER Avast or Avg (great Free virus protection programs ) will keep a computer in good working condition.

Windows Defender and Spybot are 2 really good Spyware Programs.

    REFORMAT ! Instructions below:

Insert your Windows xp Disc that came with the computer and the computer will do the rest. Just follow instructions.

But remember AGAIN, you will loose everything, so save your documents and music and pictures, etc.

Try AVG. it is FREE. Link is Below. Some Programs that WILL Help.

I have both AVG and Spybot on my computer.

    Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5.2

    Avast

www.trendmicro.com, has a free scan., called Housecall. Scan your computer and see what pops up, and remove it.

    Ccleaner

$ $ the best price for your money is Kaspersky Shield Deluxe 2008. Under $40.00

    Hope this information helps.

    Good Luck. ....

  6. If it's yellow and lives down by the clock on your task bar it's the windows update icon.

  7. DO NOT !!!! I HAVE NORTON TOO.... GO TO www.google.com and search spyware doctor... its the best

  8. Try running Norton and the other anti-malware programs I'll suggest in Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking.  Both modes often prevent malware from running and protecting itself.

I suggest you also download Ad-Aware 2008 and Spybot S&D (they’re free), install them, update them and run them.

Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.

To get into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking:

1.Log out and reboot your machine.

2.When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.

3.Select Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.

4.When the login screen comes up, log in as Administrator.  By default, Administrator has no password.

5.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different.

6.When you're finished doing what you need to do, log out and reboot back into normal mode.

Note that even if the anti-malware programs get rid of the malware, they may not be able to reverse the effects.  Search the Web for possible fixes.

Update and run everything regularly, not just when you think you already have malware.

    Good luck.

  9. if you don't know about it then don't! i hope is only antivirus program you have!
