There is a small wods behind house with a cop station beyound that in Northern Virginia. Can i shoot a pb gun.

Do you mean "BB gun" rather than "pb gun"?

You really need to check your city, county, and state laws.  Even if the State of Virginia allows it, your city or county might not.

Do you have enough property or a suitable "bullet trap"?  Even if it is legal to shoot the gun, the projectiles cannot leave your property.

Talk it over with your parents.  You can also ask one of the patrolmen.

Go ahead and ask the police. The worst they can say is no. If you invite them to come and try out your PB gun, they might suprise you and pull out their own PB guns and join you. The same goes with the church. ASK. The worst they can say is no, and at best you'll walk away with full permission and nothing left to worry about.

Check your local laws.

BB guns are good for up to 16 feet for target shooting,but the BB's will travel much farther than that.

Paint balls should splatter upon impact with any object,but if you should do any damage to other property,you are responsible.

If you can shoot on your own property,be sure to check what is behind your intended target (same as hunting).

Get permission to use other peoples' property and respect their answer even if it is no!
