I wouldn't mind, except now it's a huge deal everytime I have to bring my dog out. I still take her for walks on the leash, but she likes staying outside during the day and now I have to keep her in all day becasue as soon as she gets outside she dashes towards the cat and chases the cat around the entire neighborhood. This is getting quite annoying and has been going on for a couple months now. How do I get this cat to go away?

  1. Just call the animal control center to pick the cat up.Or you should take it to the animal shelter your self.

  2. well let ur dog cahse him out but dont let him kill it. i would feed it if i were you though just a bowl of milk or something. but then it would probably come back so...ur choice. good luck.

  3. Its not exactly fair to leave a stray cat stray. call your local humane society and have it taken where it can get good food and home. They can put it up for adoption so it can have a good home and a family who cares for it. As for the dog, until the cat is taken away, take your dog in your front yard if possible.

  4. well its probably staying where u are because its eatin ur dogs food or something. well add cat food in ur backyard or something and when the stray cat comes catch it, well thats hard. u can call animal control or something, they'll catch it for you. thats their job

    hope this helps a lil

  5. FEED & WATER IT.........it's one of GOD'S CREATURES.......FEED & WATER & LOVE IT.........

  6. The cat probably enjoys the chase.  It's not hard for a cat to get out of reach of a dog and disappear, if it wants to.  The fact that the cat leads the dog all over the neighborhood tells me the cat is having fun.

I have cats and dogs; the cats signal the dogs when they want to be chased.  They won't run if they don't feel like it.

Once there was a neighbor cat that would sit on the fence and tease my dog to make it bark.  This dog never bothered other cats.

Well, I don't see how you can keep the cat away, since I think the cat likes your dog.  But if you had a good fence, the dog wouldn't be able to follow it all over the neighborhood.

  7. Ring your local RSPCA/animal shelter/pound. One of those should have a cat trap, you can catch the trap and then it will go to the pound to be collected buy its owner if it is not collected it will then be sent to rehoming (check there is a rehoming policy because you would not want the cat to be put down).
