  1. If it's a bad crime like killing some1 or abusing a child then let them have it!

Hope death penalty comes to the UK that'll weed a few of them out !

  2. Go and ask Barry George, Colin Stagg, Stefan Kisko, Sion Jenkins, The Birmingham 6, The Guildford 4, Judith Ward and all the other people who have been wrongly convicted of crimes they didn't commit.  Oh and while you're there ask Timothy Evans and Derek Bentley, oh sh/t, forgot, you can't ask them cos they were hanged for a crime they didn't commit.

  3. They can hang him high for all I care he is getting what he deserves pity a few of the scum bags here don't get the same treatment.

I wouldn't go to an execution unless the scum had murdered one of my own then I would want to see him fry

  4. I remember the death penalty. I was only a kid , but the day Hanratty was hung left an indelible impression on me, and I clearly remember the images of people holding placards in protest outside the prison. For me there is something uncivilised about the state taking a life, I don't think it reflects well on the nation at all.

  5. No I most certainly would NOT go anywhere near an execution.

Yes I think some crimes are only punishable by death. The usual ones...

  6. I believe in execution for the big three crimes, those that have been proven cannot be rehabilitated for, Murder, Rape and paedophilia. If these crimes are committed by a person no matter the good behaviour they will reoffend. There is no room in society for these people and if they cannot contribute they should not be allowed to be a drain, especially when their victims and their families will still have to contribute to the social structure that maintains them.

  7. What happened in that case is just awful, I would not like to see people like that walking the streets freely. I don't agree with the death penalty never have, how can people agree with it when the think their legal system is good and object if it is another countries. Both end up with a person dying for something, in most cases something they may not remember doing. far better I would think to have them sit in a cell wondering what they done the rest of their lives cursing that can of beer that they will blame for why they are there.

  8. No, but is it surprise from the land of Bush putting them on a par with Iran, China, Burma, Pakistan, North Korea.

  9. I dont really believe I do and the reason is........before they had DNA testing, how many hundreds if not thousands of people did they kill who were actually innocent?  Innocent people are released from prison EVERY single day because of DNA evidence.  That just goes to show you that the legal system is a joke.  They were originally found guilty of such crimes like rape or murder, then 25 years go by of being behind bars and DNA testing becomes available and all the sudden the prison is like "oh sorry about that, you can go ahead and leave" ha?  I mean its ridiculous!   People have been sitting on death row for 20 years, some of them Id almost garauntee are innocent.  Unless they went thru every persons case and did DNA testing (when needed), I dont believe I agree with the death penalty.  If your gonna take a chance and kill an innocent person (by the death penalty) for no reason, chances are, YOU will burn in h**l for that.

  10. NO. I am ethically opposed to the death penalty. It is morally abhorrent, it has no deterrent value and is nothing more than state-sanctioned murder.

  11. I don't agree with the death penalty at all!I think these people who commit such horrible crimes should suffer terribly until they die.The death penalty is just an easy way out. They really don't suffer.I say these people get stuck in rooms all by themselves no food,no water, and they can just urinate on themselves and such. They can live in filth for all I care.

  12. Oppose it - life should mean life and they ought to have to work for any benefits they get and towards compensation to victims and their families.

Far tougher than just pressing a button.

  13. i don't agree with the death penalty.

It serves no purpose...not even as a deterrent.

There are ways to punish serial offenders that don't involve society stooping to their level.

Lock them up for life & let them clean the cities sewers to earn their keep. Thats punishment enough, don't you think?

  14. I'm torn about the death penalty ...On the one hand , objectively speaking I am against it .  On the otherhand if someone killed someone close to me I'd probably want to be able to kill the murderer myself ....

So which is right ... I'm glad I don't have to decide.

  15. I think state and police mustn't kill citizens, even if the citizen is a thief or a murderer....

  16. Yes, if he killed any child, raped or killed in armed robbery, then execute him.

    Greetings from Wyoming,USA!

  17. Definitely against. Death is too easy. The death penalty is just an easy way to get revenge, and revenge does not equal justice.

  18. Where i live, and all the surrounding areas you wouldn't allow a 14 year old girl out until 11.15 at night, but that's beside the point.

I would not go to the execution, I would not want to see it, what will the families of the lost girls actually gain by people going there?  I would prefer a remembrance service somewhere they enjoyed going together or something personal like that.

I am not against the death penalty, if it is proven without any hint of doubt that the person is guilty or they are caught in the act then I believe they should be punished accordingly, and wrapping them in cotton wool in what passes for prison nowadays is hardly a punishment.

I feel it is a little barbaric to draw crowds to watch the execution, it's like going back in time to the dark ages, I thought we were supposed to be better than that.

  19. where is the button

there should be a web site where everyone can join in the execution if they want to push the button. all it will need is an icon saying click here

all you will need to do is when the icon turns red for 2 seconds just click and the execution is done

the person who is being executed will not have is image shown at any time

  20. I wouldn't go, and the crimes are truly horrific, but leaving him in jail for the rest of his life is worse than putting him out of his misery no?

  21. I used to agree with the death penalty but now i think its an easy way out. As others have said life should mean life and prisons should be the most horrible places not like the hotels they seem to be with tvs and sports facilities. They should be locked up all day on their own until they are screaming  with boredom to be killed but told NO....That would give me more satisfaction than the death penalty. But of course it wont happen cos of the do gooders.

  22. I believe in the death penalty, but it is unfair in the US.  Take Susan Smith for example, cold blooded killer of her own babies and all she received was a life sentence.

  23. the death penalty is wrong on so many levels

besides, you know something is wrong when texas believes its right

does the death penalty save money?  no

    does it deter murder?  no

can you be 100% sure of guilt?  no

is the criminal justice system 100% safe from corruption?  no

can psychologists learn anything about criminals when theyre dead (in the hope of preventing future crimes) ?  no

therefore you can only justify it if you believe in punishment that makes you feel good - which makes you no better than the person youre executing

most of the civilised world thinks its wrong

only backward places like iran and texas disagree

the primary aim of criminal justice is to minimise crime.  it is not just to punish the guilty

  24. Yes, I do.  In fact, if someone killed my family, I wouldn't be waiting for the State to take action.  I'd take the SOB out myself, old school style.

EDIT: I just read the whole story and it made me sick.  The b******s should've been hanged publicly for what they did.

  25. no no no

If its wrong to kill, why are the government an exeption?

and plus prisoners commit suiside in prison because its so terrible. So throw them behind bars and make the suffer.

    Deaths the easy way out

  26. If a person kills someone and there is enough evidence that he is guilty I don't see why the death penalty is so bad. Just think...say it cost 75.00 a day to stay in that jail, it cost $27,375.00 a year to keep him there, and if he stays for 10 years that is $273,750.00 dollars. I think executing is a lot cheaper than the states money going down the drain to feed and cloth a person that has done something like this.

  27. Yes death penalty.  Also think it should be faster no long appeals. One appeal and done, only for new trial due to errors. No win on appeal, death occurs.

  28. yes i do support the death penalty, why should killers be allowed to remain on this earth enjoying food and tv and just being alive when they have brought terror and death to their victims as well as destroying the lives of the remaining families. my only complaint is that we do not have the death penalty in the uk. god bless those poor children.

  29. h**l yes, the sick b*****d raped tortured and murdered two innocent children!!! how the h**l can anyone ***** about his rights after what those children went through before they died, and what about the pain their families will continue to go through knowing that no only did they die far to young but that their last moments were filled with pain and fear.

  30. I am actually proud of Rick Perry today...and hopefully he won't do anything stupid in the next few hours to s***w this up.  This low-life Medellin should have gotten the needle years ago.  If you want to come to this country illegally and rape, torture and murder innocent people....be prepared for a needle in your arm!

BTW, I am in TX, but wouldn't drive a couple hundred miles to see this POS get the needle, although if the victim had been a family member, I would.

  31. There are certain laws that if you break, you get the death penalty. I think those laws suffice. If you do something the law warrants as deserving the death penalty, i think you deserve it.

But would i go to the execution? NO! thats f*cked up in the head, and discusting
