  1. Try going to files / programs and see if it's there. Right click on the file name and see if it allows you to uninstall the program. Then go back to your desktop and try again.

  2. Try Unlocker - http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

And delete it, don't move it to the recycle bin.  (Hold the shift key while deleting.)  Moving a file to the recycle bin just renames it, it doesn't delete it.  You haven't freed up the space.

  3. panic ye not.

try go offline and delete(some programs will not go if they can connect to their web page)

then if still there and still offline

right click on an empty space on desktop.

on the window that appears put your cursor on" new"

on the side panel click on folder.

this will create a new folder will (still offline )the icon drag now~if so put in folder ~delete folder.if not~

try dragging folder over naughty icon.

if icon goes in folder delete folder.

panic a little if it,s still there

still offline ~type program name in search box(in vista .yours is vista ?)

click on any program >open to find search box

    delete from there.

panic a bit more if it;s still there .

    hope this helps .

will get back if i see another solution.

try ~left click twice(quickly) it may give you the option to delete~still thinking Mrs A.

i dont know the program myself.

if it is still there have a look on 2 good web sites .

    i use them

    "it's vista"

    "vista4beginners"

they are Q and A's sites

    still thiking Mrs A

  4. There may well be anther way.

  5. That is always bad news. It means your permission hierarchy is screwed.

PC's have this problem. Without reinstalling your system it will probably be there for keeps.

But it probably also means you need to reinstall your system in the first place.

Do it now before you get more breaks in your extent tree.
