There is black stuff on the crackes in the bath tube?

where the walls meet the tube my hubby put caucuin (spelling) there to seal it off where water would not go under the walls but there is this black stuff that gets there and i spray it with grease lighting and scrub and some comes off but its like it stains it or does come all the way off does anyone know what to do about it

It really sounds like mildew!! Just use bleach and it will come right up.

It sounds like it's probably mold or mildew.  It's pretty common in showers and tubs, which is why products like Tilex are so popular.  http://www.tilex.com/mold.html  Works like a charm.

It sounds like mold - use Clorox Clean-up.

Yeah cleaning the mildew with bleech and scrubbing it hard with a rag or mop usually does the trick. To prevent mold in the future, you have to wipe clean and dry all the water on the walls, tiles, and floor and then let the bathroom dry.

Water that isn't cleaned in the open is just a perfect incubator for mildew and shower tub mold. My mom use to nag me excessively about cleaning the bathroom and now I know why.

Its mold, they sell special paint that will cover this. I think its called halts or something like that. Go to your local paint store and they will help you.

They make this stuff called Bartenders friend its like comet but 10 times better just sprinkle let set then wipe and rinse i bet you money it will work. Bartenders friend is cheap super cheap
