  1. I'm sure. They recently discovered a gene for anorexia.

  2. Yes. If you visit the ancient ruins in the 'vomitarium', you can still smell the faint ordor of vomit. It's in Rome. My granny went there ~ 34 yrs ago.

  3. If there's evidence of it, then the source of that evidence is in a better position to tell you if it's 'true' or not than we are. Right? I mean why would you expect us to know better than the person who reported that evidence?

  4. Eating disorders come from the brain.  That means that as long as there have been people, they have had these disorders.  The ammount of people with the disorder has changed through history.  In Greek and Roman society, and many others, it was popular for women to be larger.  Now, it is popular for women to be skinnier.  The disorder doesn't change; the effect that it has on society does.

  5. There is evidence beyond any doubt, that eating disorders (anorexia nervosa and bulimia, in its two types, vomiting and purgative), exist since mankind is mankind...since humans are humans...There is nothing bew, except that, the concept of a disease, was brough upon to medical definition and diagnosis since 1980....Those disorders have been described more or less in all cultures..
