Also, do you guys know if any of the test dates are harder than the others. What advice do you give me on taking. And lastly, how do I take the science part, it scares me?

  1. I'm fairly certain that there is usually a September test date. Most students take the ACT the Spring of their junior year. Those who don't do as well as they would have liked usually retake it in the fall of their Senior year (this would be the September date). It is so early because students who would like to apply to college early in their senior year can do so.

All of the tests are created to be equal, but there are probably some that you, personally, would find more or less difficult than others... this will have nothing to do with test date though, so don't worry about that!

The science section really scared me too! I think it's ridiculous that there are 7 passages, 40 questions, and ONLY 35 MINUTES!!! I prepared for the science section by taking practice tests and only giving myself 35 minutes to complete the science section. I would highly recommend that you do the same so you can gen an idea of how quickly you have to answer each questions. Also, there are three types of science passages, so figure out which is easiest for you and consider doing those ones first!!

Don't be too afraid. I was really freaking out because I took it in June and half of my friends were already RETAKING it!! I was most afraid for the science section too, but it ended up being the section I scored highest in! Just make sure you answer all the questions and don't spend too much time on any one question. Thats what I did and I am satisfied with my score!

    Oh yeah, Good Luck!!
