There is mistake in surname's first letter what should do ?

I ditto the answers above but also what I do is add a postem to their information if there isn't an email to write too.  

In my research I found several links that have different information, I keep looking until I find the most consistant or can validify what I have. Sometimes what I have isn't totally correct either.

As far as the fishing part, I like to do both ~ fish and tree hunt.

Write to whoever has the false record, with a copy of proof, and hope they correct it?

Use the bad surname AND the good one in your genealogical searches?

Forget about it and change hobbies to bass fishing or gardening? You can't eat family trees, after all.
