There is no crying in NBA - Phil Jackson’s message to Miami Heat :NBA update
Whether it’s about thrashing San Antonio Spurs at their home court or team officials making statements, Los Angeles Lakers seems to address strong messages just before the playoffs. With the team marching forward vigorously towards
the next round, coach Phil Jackson takes a shot at Miami Heat.
Swiftly crumbling Heat was so confused with their recent performance that Eric Spoelstra implicated the line-up by stating they cried in the Locker room after losing to Chicago Bulls.
When first asked form the Hall of Famer Jackson about Heat’s recent struggle including the statement made by spoelstra, he impeded by saying that it’s just a drama.
During pregame media session on Tuesday, Miami Heat issue was brought up once again in front of the legendary coach as he couldn’t restrain himself from tweaking the talented squad from South Beach.
"This is the NBA: No Boys Allowed. Big boys don't cry. But, if you're going to do it, do it in the toilet where no one can see."
It not the first time this season Jackson came up with some critical comments about Heat to the media. He openly questioned Spoelstra’s job security late in November after an 8-6 eye-opening start, which shook the franchise from
the South Beach.
Jackson later retreated from his comments with an apology saying "I'm not throwing any aspersions on Spoelstra. He's a very fine young coach."
Interesting thing about Lakers coach is when he doesn’t want to comment on something, he can’t remain wordless and come up with something out of the ordinary.
Though, he backs off his comments at times however, once somebody gets offended it’s hard to heal the feeling with an apology.
Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers have been a belligerent rivals as they their superstar Lebron James and Kobe Bryant set foot on the court with many things to prove. Both of them are extensively compared by the fans as they strive
to dominate each other.
The frenzied rivalry between the two teams takes place at American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL on Thursday night making thousands of spectators ready to rumble.
Los Angeles Lakers have entirely dominated the opposition since the All-Star break. The Team has won eight straight in there last meetings including a brilliant Victory over the top team of the League San Antonio Spurs. The squad
is very confident as Bryant spearheads from the front.
On the other hand, Miami lost fifth-straight on Tuesday night and stands at a very agonizing situation. The Statement made by Phil Jackson would have definitely escalated rage in the line-up irrespective of Jackson’s intension.
Heat will be fully determined to give a strong reply on Thursday while Lakers will be looking forward to sustain their strong run, which will make the night all the more exciting. Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure
that both the teams will supply their very best to propel a belligerent confrontation.
