  1. Just because you read something on the web or don't see something on the web does not mean it is or is not true.  Anyone who believes that is ...not so bright, as there are plenty of parody sites around the web.  That being said...here are some good web sites about Global Warming being a crock of steaming pooh:

    Real Climate:  http://www.realclimate.org/

    http://www.sitewave.net/news/s49p1837.ht...

The Great Global Warming Swindle:  http://www.greatglobalwarmingswindle.com...

  2. Now tel me that there is no brainwashing going on in the educational system

If this was not so tragic it would be hilarious

I suppose you also like the idea of Globalization by now

    watch http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/.

it is all about what heats the planet

  3. I agree that the statement needs to be changed. I'd check into that. I suspect the teacher wants you go support the statement "Global Warming Is Not Caused by Human."

Here are some sources, and they often lead to other sources.

Also, I heard a guy talk about how in recent years that many temperature recording outposts have been taken out of service worldwide because of funding. The result is that only urban areas have recording stations. This skews that actual temperature results because urban areas tend to be naturally warm because of all the concrete, asphalt etc. and the lack of vegetation. I also have read that the effect of clearing rainforests world wide probably has a dramatic effect that has not been measured. That might give you some "search" topics.

  4. I feel you need to go at it with from a natural versus man-made approach. Since you will be hard press to find anything about our planets climate being static. So if you change your essay question to: There is no such thing as man-made global warming! You will be better off. Since you will be able to show how the sun, the oceans and a whole lot of other natural forces shape how warm or cold our planet is on a yearly basis.

    Good luck on your paper.

    Research Ideas are:

    Sunspots

    El Nino

    and El Nina

Edit: I'm glad to see that your full thesis statement is about climate change being naturally occuring. This will make it easier to research and a lot easier for you to write about.

I would also suggest researching Volcanos, especially super volcanoes such as Yellow Stone.

    And Earthquakes. Basicly tectonic plates.

All these things helped create the planet we live on.

I can't help you sort out what actual websites to use, but if you google the topics I suggested you should find a bunch of legit sites to utilize. I feel your bigger issue will be how to pare down all the information.

    Good Luck

  5. www.junkscience.com

  6. I personally think you should be doing your own work and not be looking for easy answers, especially from the internet!

Having said that, I did find a short video today that I found not only truthful, but should be somewhat enlightening for those that believe in man made global warming!

    http://revver.com/video/792547/affiliate...

The sad fact is that people are not interested in science or the truth!

As long as they can still watch an episode of 'Big Brother' and have their computer, they are happy.

  7. If you are trying to say that the climate stays the same all the time, I doubt very much that you will find much evidence to support your contention.  There is pretty strong evidence showing that conditions in general are warmer now than they were a few hundred years ago and probably even only 30-50 years ago.

The controversy lies in the cause and severity of the observed variation and whether we should be concerned or not about the observed change, and whether the change will continue toward warmer conditions into the future or cycle back to cooler conditions as it always seems to have done until now.

Expecting there to be no change in global temperature over time is contrary to the vast majority of the evidence, and it doesn,t appear that the change is toward cooler conditions over the recent past. Predicting the future is beyond our comprehension at the present time, in my opinion, but many will argue against that position.

sorry, no websites offered.  they are really easy to find if you make a small effort.

  8. Loads of websites support the fact that man made global warming is a scam.  This one appeared just today on "The Drudge Report"

    http://blogs.usatoday.com/weather/2008/0...

  9. Global warming is real.  It's part of a natural cycle.  There's no such thing as MAN-MADE global warming, and that's the beauty of the scam:  They use a poorly understood natural occurrence as proof that man should give up his property and his freedom.

Edit:  If that's your assignment, then you must start your paper defining the distinction between natural global warming and man-made global warming.  We know the planet is warmer today than it was during the last Ice Age...natural global warming is easy to prove. Then it's a simple case of proving the anomaly labeled "Anthropogenic Global Warming" actually falls within the margin of error for the statistical numbers presented as "proof".
