  1. WMD, Gulf of Tonkin incident, Operation Northwoods the list is long and storied, Carl Von Clausewitz said, "War is a continuation of policy by another means" after WW2 American government and contractors saw huge profits in keeping the war machine churning, taxes increased and profits grew. they learned from our enemies that fear sells.

    Adolf Hitler

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

    Joseph Goebbels

The art of leadership... consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention.

    Adolf Hitler

“All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.” Adolf Hitler

Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear - kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor - with the cry of grave national emergency.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

  2. Laissez-Faire Guy must not read much. There are reams and volumes of evidence that Bush cherry picked for false proof. The intelligence agencies told him the truth but he only paid attention to the parts he wanted. This is why there is talk of  IMPEACHMENT

    prayer + research

  3. It's certainly happened before.  I can think of two instances just off the top of my head.

No, I do not believe the American people were lied to about Iraq.  I think our intelligence agencies, as well as others around the world, really botched the job, and the government acted on the info they had.

  4. lies, more lies, still lying, stop the war...

  7. no i do not believe that they lied why would they have to and its left wing that believe that the world is a better place with out sadam and his military

  8. Look up Operation Northwoods.  It's happened before.  They made plans to attack their own country (treason) and blaming it on cuba to go to war with them.  From painting planes to look like theirs to other ideas of how to go about it.  There's even an ABC news report about it.

  9. Yes they lied two times. Once when they said that they did not know that there was a planned attack in the works. They captured an Iraqi who told them all about it and he was released. Then again when members of the inspection team,  told them that there was no conclusive evidence of  WMDs.
