There is now talk of mayweather giving hatton a rematch next spring, good idea or terrible idea?

I really hope this doesnt happen , I mean really what would be the point. After the de la hoya rematch , theres talk of mayweather going out to manchester to fight hatton. Mostly due to hatton whining about the ref in their first fight. Also cause I guess mayweather feels he would be making history to go over to wembly stadium to fight him and do what he did in vegas to ricky again. I think its a terrible idea for him to even consider that , it will only hurt Floyds carear not help him. Everyone is tired of Floyd ducking certain fighters. Oscar proved he deserved a rematch regardless to what fans think he lost a split decision therefor should be a rematch not to mention the money that will be made. Hatton did nothing to suggest he deserved a rematch and hes not even in mayweathers league. I would like to see floyd give de la hoya his rematch then fight mosely ,then give margirito and cotto a shot. Then he can go and retire and if he beats them all that should silence all his critics.

Well i think it is a great idea, hatton i think is a good fighter, hes a in fighter, and lets get real mayweather will do anything in his power not too fight miguel cotto.  He wont fight margarito he ran away from an 8 million dollar deal and he didnt take it.  Hatton is the best opponent for mayweather, hatton executed his game plan but just needed to throw more shots.  These guys dont like each other and i would love too see a rematch and in london with all the die hard hatton fans i would love to see this fight. Granted a fight with cotto, mosley, and margarito would be more exciting in fight and more of a challenge for mayweather, but he wont fight those guys and hatton is a good fighter and a guy whose determined as ever and is the only guy who mayweather would fight that is younger and stronger.  So i know where your coming from saying u wouldnt wanna see it, but if mayweather wanted to fight cotto or margarito he wouldve already fought them, know that he is the superstar of boxing why would he put that name in huge jepordy against guys that nobody outside of boxing fans know.  De la hoya and hatton are the most watched and loved fighters in and outside of boxing.  If cotto could become more popular by beating well known guys then mayweather would fight him, but cotto is not in mind of fighting for money just for the love of the sport, and cotto is dangerous and de la hoya and mayweather dont want any part of him, so i will like to see hatton-mayweather 2 in london , good quiestion

Yah, read an article about that, as well.  Floyd is going to make lots of cash by duping English fans into thinking that the referee made the difference.  Even with Hatton's pet referee, all Floyd needs to do is bring up his left elbow into a high sideways guard and poor Ricky is going to run head-first or neck-first into an elbow.

Is it a good idea or bad idea?  I think it'll sell out Wembley, so how can that be a bad idea?

If Floyd takes two rematches in a row he will seriously hurt his potential standing in history.  De la Hoya lost a split decision, thats true, it was a close fight, but in all likelihood, it won't be all that exciting this time around either - even if its another split decision, all it will prove is that Mayweather can beat an over the hill Oscar in a chess match twice....Hatton didn't really come close to beating Floyd, a rematch based on  the fact that he thinks the ref was a little too involved is stupid.  He had his shot, if he wants another one he should show he can beat a slick boxer, and WIN 2 or 3 fights in a row before just getting a rematch.

This is one of the huge problems with the sport, and where they are digging themselves a hole next to MMA - boxing should be pushing its younger stars into these big fights, matching up dangerous prospects, instead of milking every dollar from their older, established names.  Top guys only fight 2 or 3 times a year, wasting these fights, in every sense of the word, is how the sport could get sunk.  Once Hopkins, Mayweather, Oscar, and the guys who are starts at this point leave, at this point boxing hasn't done anything to set a stage for their replacements.

I think it will be an awsome idea if they had a different referee that doesnt break them up like in 2 seconds. if the ref lets it go on then it should be a good fight
