There is some kind of bug in my room, how do I get it out

Just earlier I was on the computer when all of a sudden I saw a bug like jump in front of me from one end of the desk to another. I looked down to see some kind of weird looking bug that looked like it had wings but wasn't flying or anything. So I got up for a second and turned around and it jumped towards. So normally I backed up a little and when I went to look for him again, he was gone. Now I have no idea where he is and no idea what kind of bug it was. The only way it could of got in was from my window which has a little opening because my AC is in it. My question is how do I get rid of this thing? Is there anything I can do to make it come out or something? Please help.

Well, you took care of this bug, but just in case there are more: I would check the AC.    Bugs can hide in them.   Much like the filters to a furnace, they should be cleaned once in a while. Without getting the electric unit wet.  So I would use the same stuff that you get at the computer store for cleaning computers.   It is an air spray that targets the dust and gets rid of it.  You have to have open windows though when you do it, as it can hurt you when there is no way for you to get fresh air from outside.
