There is something freaky about the weather where I live or what?

For the last three days, I have watched the radar in our area. When a line of storms gets close to us, it breaks up forming a perfect circle--a hole--then it reforms the line on the otherside. What is up with that? Its so wierd. Everyone around up has gotten rain, but not us. My grass is dying, it hasn't gotten water in like three weeks.

  1. Stay safe.  :)

  2. Actually, I think what you are seeing is an artifact of the radar processing.  If there is a line of disconnected storms away from you, the radar will often "fill in" the gaps between the storms, making it seem like a solid line. As the storms get closer the radar can discriminate between the rain and non-rain areas, making it seem like you are in a hole, then when the line moves away from you again the radar fills in the gaps. I've often been disappointed by the same phenomenon.

  3. I have to agree with you, there must be some sort of governmental conspiracy going on for your house not to get rained on for 3 weeks....must be nice to have the only sunny spot in the region!!

If your grass is dying, then water it!
