There is this freaky looking caterpillar on my back porch. Can some caterpillars be poisonous?

I live in Tucson, Az. There is this freaky looking caterpillar on my back porch....or I think it is a caterpillar! Can some caterpillars be poisonous? The caterpillar is a bright red-orange with pokie spikes all along it's back.

If its an assasin caterpillar,you better leave it alone,because they can kill.The bad part about the kill is it makes you bleed out of,well almost everything.(Your still alive suffering through pain and blood loss to.)But it might be just another caterpillar.Dont be to sure. :)

its probably an assassin caterpillar..i saw something about one of them on animal planet (don't laugh) but it was very poisonous ..i think 7 times more venomous than a snake, but i'm not sure..and the spiky things are for protection.. look it up n google and you might find the same one:) i hope that helps you! -sarah1e2cbaby
