be completely honest you may shoot down his feelings but honesty is a better policy than lying and thus creating deeper feelings on his part :)

be REALLY nice about this is you still want to be friends. Try and tell him that you've just come out of a bad relationship and don't want to get involved in another 1 too soon.  He should back off a little.  If not you can always use the 'my parents wont let me date you' card.  This always makes guys back off pretty quick.  no guy wants to deal with a girls parents.  If you don't care if you hurt his feelings or not, then just tell him to back off and leave you alone.

Just say that you are not interested in being more than friends with him and if he's a good guy he will understand. Just tell him straight up and don't beat around the bush. Hope my advice helps!

Well, you could always try the honest approach. Tell him you understand he likes you but you want to keep it as friends only. It's nicer than not telling him, and letting him think that you do like him.
