The Swiss winger has admitted that he will face stiff competition for a place in the starting line-up and is confident of making his mark.

“Anyone who decides to join Bayern knows that the competition there is very tough. This has always been the case but I believe competition is beneficial for the team. Besides, we'll be competing in the Bundesliga, the Cup and the
Champions League, so you need to have a large squad,” the player was quoted as saying in an interview to Bundesliga.de.
On the other hand, Shaqiri admitted that winning the league this time around would not be easy by any means. The winger admitted that other Bundesliga sides have also strengthened their squads and there will be some very tough
competition for the top places.
However, the Swiss mentioned that winning the league is certainly Bayern’s utmost priority.
“This is what makes the Bundesliga so special - anyone can beat anyone. The other teams have strengthened their squads very well, so it will be a very difficult season. Still, we're aiming for the title - that has to be our ambition,”
