  1. HM is married to HRH Prince Philip Of greece.

he is not entitled to be king.He did not have a title until HM King George gave him one upon the marriage to his daughter now the Queen in 1947.

Camila will be the new Duchess of Lancaster as this is the tiile of the Monach.

this will have to go to Parliament for approval.

  2. Why do people insist of saying Queen of England? There is no such title.

  3. The easy answer is:Elizabeth II was HEIR TO THE THRONE.Philip is simply a spouse.Elizabeth was heir presumptive to her father, George VI;he only had daughters, so the next monarch after him would be a queen regent. As long as there is a Queen Regent, there can be no one with a title higher than her's. The title "king" is considered higher than "queen" and there is no such title as "king consort" for the husband of a reigning queen of The United Kingdom,so Philip,a third cousin to his wife and a Royal Prince of Greece and Denmark, makes use of the accepted title of "Prince Consort."

It would take an ACT OF PARLIAMENT to make Philip a king.Elizabeth is quite happy to be the reigning monarch and has  never had any intentions to do so;she believes quite strongly in meeting her birthright--her royal duties.

The Queen's heir is Charles. When he becomes King Regent, his wife, Camilla, becomes his Queen Consort. She will have no powers to reign. That also would require an Act of Parliament. She may serve as a Counselor of State, at best, if so needed, sharing duties with Charles' heirs and siblings. But that probably won't happen.Counselors of State are used when a monarch is out of the country or incapacitated.Camilla will travel with Charles, most likely,so she'll never be needed as a Counselor of State.

  4. you're really are confused aren't you.  Queen Elizabeth is the Queen of England right now, she is genetically descended from the rulers of the past, her father was King, etc.  Her husband , the Duke of Edinburgh is her consort.  He could have been King , if the Queen chose to make him King, but she didn't.   When Prince Charles, who is first in line to be King, becomes King, he can make Camilla  a Queen, but I don't think the English people will like that as Camilla Parker Bowles is a divorcee and an adulterer.

  5. Yes, the queen is married.  I don't know why he isn't king...very interesting.  He is a Prince.  Charles is going to be king someday---- well, that is IF the queen ever decides to leave us.... I can't wait for WILLIAM to be king....NOW THAT IS SOMETHING WORK LOOKING AT!

  6. The current British monarch is Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, she inherited the crown from her father, the late King George VI. The Queen married her second cousin, twice removed, Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten in 1957. She bestowed upon him the title and style of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, but never "King Consort." When Charles becomes King, his wife Camilla is legally his "Queen Consort", however, she already stated that she would rather be titled as "Princess Consort."

Note: According to the English common law, when a woman marries, she takes the surname and title of her husbands. Therefore, when a commoner marries a Prince or Duke etc, she legally becomes his Princess, Duchess etc. When a royal princess marries a commoner man, he is not entitled to any of her titles, unless the monarch bestowed upon him a peerage title, usually an Earldom.

When a Queen marries, normally, her husband would titled as "Prince". However, the title of "King consort" does exist, and is a title given in some monarchies to the husband of a queen regnant. Nowadays, it is a symbolic title only, the sole constitutional function of the holder being similar to a queen consort, namely to produce an heir to the throne. Spain, Portugal, England and Scotland have all had kings consort; however, since the rank of king normally outranks that of queen, in most monarchies the queen's husband is given the title of prince or prince consort instead.

  7. Queen Elizabeth II now is the "Leader" of the Country and its' Palace, and her husband is King, but has more of less power than Queen Elizabeth II.

It's like this, for example, King in the olden days had the power, but now its' Elizabeth who has the Throne of England,

so Elizabeth is the "Proper King-Like-Queen of the England".

And so of course, Camilla will be Queen, when Charles becomes the King of England.

    Hope it helps,

    Thanks,

    with Regards,
