There used to be a 3 digit number you dial from a phone to hear the number your calling from....?

  1. No, it's no longer in use-was the old SALT(Subs Apps & Line Test) test number.

    Superseded by 17070!


  2. In the US, there were different numbers depending where you lived...You can find your number by dialing the MCI ANI service, (free) at 1-800-444-4444.. There are some others, but that one will do....

  3. every telco is different. one ANI for your locl telco will not work in another telco.... and they often change the ANI between central offices.
