  1. It is possible he is either going to make methamphetamines or is getting them for someone that is making it. Many of the over the counter products are now regulated to some extent because of the meth epidemic. Meth is easy to make from everyday household chemicals and cold medicines that contain ephedrine. This chemical can be extracted and is highly potent producing a euphoric effect on the user. It is a highly toxic substance and its use can cause psychosis and even death. It is hard to believe that any one person would need $100 worth of cold medicine.

  2. He is a Meth Head, or manufacturer of Meth! I hope they prevented him from making that purchase? You knew the answer to this question!

  3. Maybe it contained a substance that with that amount could kill a person or be manufactured into something illegal.  Interesting why so much.  My first guess is he is sending it to someone in another country.  But who knows what he will be doing with it.

  4. Cold medicine is an essential ingredient in making crystal meth.  Most states have limits on how much you can buy.  In many places, you have to sign a register to buy it.

  5. Certain cold medicines contain a hallucinagen called DXM.

  6. If he was buying products with sudafedrine in them, then he had to. Meth is made from common OTC drugs with sudafedrine in it. If this guy buying all the cold medicine does it frequently, then chances are, he could be a Meth cooker with a lab. Labs can blow up(think dynamite). Meth stays in a building so potently they often have to tear it down. Meth, cooking it, selling, using it, etc. all illegal.

  7. you need to present I.D. for buying just one package of cold medicine b/c is used to make meth...not only that but many stores do not even put the boxes on the shelf anymore
