There was this neighbour kid, who said to me his b'day is on 11th august, and i told him, ok, i will gift him

on that day, now he come back again and told me to buy march blade or something, he ask me refer cartoon network etc.. some model and he said it costs S$40 and he ask me to go to the particular shop OG. he asked me how i go there? drive there or what? then, i told him either train or bus, for that.. he ask me to take cab, otherwise he dont know the way to tell me.. lol, then he went back to ask his mom which shop it is. lol.. now, what can i do? what you will do if you were in my shoe?

  1. Order it online. Sounds much easier. Poor kid he seems like he needs attention. Thanks for being there for him.  


  2. I dont think you owe this kid a gift at all, especially not one that is this much trouble. $40 is a lot of money, and you're going to have trouble even finding it. You're not Santa! He cant stick his head over the fence and order toys from you! Tell him you'll find your own present for him, and buy him a book!

  3. $40 dollars?? that's a lot of money! ^^ if it was me, i'd start earning now! lol. you made a promise to buy him a gift, if you don't stay true to your word, he might never trust you again. i had that experience in the past.. it was terrible... :(

    after buying the gift for him, next time just make sure to tell him a certain budget or a maximum amount for the gift. i mean, you just might run out of money in the furture! lol.

    i really think a promise is meant to be kept. ^^ that's just my side though. if you really don't want to waste $40, then just tell him you're sorry. :) he'll let you pass since he seem to like you a lot. ^^
