There were really weird wasps in Turkey. What exactly are they?

They were like wasps, but much bigger, and the body was dark red with two yellow stripes. The wings also seemed to have a red tint. I have heard them called boro or bolo in Samos, too, but can't find anything online about them.

  1. oh my god yesss i saw the same things and i hate wasps and then i saw bigger ones in turkey and i totally freaked out !! by friend in Turkey says that where he comes from there is a little joke about them and they call them donkey bees and they freak out to lol


  2. I guess you are talking about the European hornet, they are bigger than wasps.
