There’s No Panic to take down the title defender, Swing Bill, in the Bates Hats Amateur Riders’ Handicap Chase

Trying for their luck in the Class 3 Bates Hats Amateur Riders’ Handicap Chase are fifteen contenders who are four-year-old and above. The prize money set for the three mile and 110 yard challenge at Cheltenham on Friday, 16th November, is £11,992. The limelight of the line-up is the Paul Nicholls trained, There’s No Panic. Another attraction among those gathered for the race today is the eleven-year-old grey gelding, Swing Bill, who won the last year’s edition of the race.
In 2010, the same entry scored second in the race, and thusly is backed by 16 to 1 chances for success in the race today.
The seven-year-old chestnut gelding, There’s No Panic, is unbeaten in the two outings of the new season. He embarked the campaign with success in Everyone’s Favourite … The Ship Hotel Chichester Novices’ Chase on 5th October, 2012 at Fontwell over two miles and six furlongs.
He could win the trip while paired up with jockey, Daryl Jacob, and the two shot the evening’s favourite, First Fandango, into the second spot after winning the race by the mark of half-length.
Filling in the third spot behind the winner was, Marshal Zhukov.
Presenting’s gelding put his tuned up form in the highlight after bagging the prize money of the Gary Peters Novices’ Chase on 26th October, 2012 at Fakenham race course over two miles and 5 ½ furlongs.
This time he won the race with jockey, Ruby Walsh, guiding him through the track distance. In the field of sixteen fences, he tracked the leader until the 8th fence after which he led on.
With the final two fences on the horizon, the Irish chestnut gelding over threw the eventual impeding challenge, and eased through the wire by the rather impressive margin of six lengths.
Cross Of Honour settled as the runner-up of the trail in which he was partnered by jockey, Noel Fehily.
He will need to look out for the title defending champion, David Pipe trained, Swing Bill. The French grey gelding landed the last edition of the race by the impressive mark of seven lengths.
If he will be able to retain the record in the presence of this line-up or not, will come out in the open soon.
