DO NOT CALL THEM MENTAL RETARDS...i sure hope u do not mean to be mean.  It is not his/her fault they are the way they are just like u are the way u are.  Imagine what his life must be like, whats he going through, all the other stare at him and treat him unkindly they havefeelings and often feel way for often then the norm.

Try talking the the kid, he /she probably has not met anyone kind enough to treat him/herself as normal.  Start a converstation and do not be rude at all.

Please don't refer to this person as a mental retardation, they are not a mental retardation, they are a person, mental retardation refers to a persons mental or cognitive abilities.

The term mental retardation is rarely used (unless your in the medical field) the term is offensive to the person and the general community. The correct term is now called developmentally delayed or cognitively impaired.

Why not talk to this person, they wont bite or yell at you, unless your rude or mean to them. If you can't bring yourself to talk to them, then take your own music and listen to it, or you can sit somewhere else.

You have a few options.

You can sit somewhere else.

Ask if the music can be changed as this may provide a calming influence on him. - I'm not sure if this is the music the bus driver is playing or something he or another passenger is playing.

If it is his music you can ask if you can listen to it with him and then you may have some idea why he is doing what he is doing in reaction to it. If it is his own music try bringing some stuff of your own that you can listen to either on your own or share with him.
