Theres a tree by my house can you help me? What kind is it?!?

There is a medium sized tree in the front of my house and my family and I are puzzled on what kind it is. It has bright green leaves and there are some sort of fruit or berry on it. they are round and green and quite sharp and pointy. I will try to put up a picture of the berrys ASAP.

You can verify in google images, but it sounds to me like a kousa dogwood, the berries are green now and will turn redish in fall.

i don't know where you are ,but it sounds like a sweetgum tree.

Kind of sounds like a Tulip tree before the Tulips bloom.
