Clean up.  Don't leave food out, don't leave the garbage open.  Don't leave doors open to the outdoor.  After awhile, they will die without you using chemicals.

They are most likely gnats, often spelled nats. They often breed in houseplants and un-used garbage disposals. Spray the soil of your houseplants with insecticidal soap, and run super hot water down your garbage disposal with an excessive amount of dish soap. This should kill the future pests, but the ones that are already airborne could live up to14 days.
