Theres this tiny spot on my slr lens that wont go away... any suggestions? ?

  1. you can get some lens cleaning fluid from any specialist photography store  


  2. Are you SURE the spot is on your lens and not a speck on your sensor? You may need to do a sensor cleaning.

  3. it may just be some dust on your mirror or on the viewfinder screen, take your lens off the camera and use a rocket blower to clean the mirror and viewfinder screen.  

  4. Is the spot visible in the viewfinder?  If so, if you have another lens, try it and see if the spot is still there.  If it is, the spot is on the mirror, not the lens.  Also, if the spot is visible through the viewfinder, it would not be dust on the sensor.  

    Be careful using any high pressure can of air.  While you might be aiming at the mirror, you are just as likely to introduce dust on the sensor, or worse yet introduce the propellant in the can to the sensor.
