This heater was bought from a yard sale but is in excellent condition, or so I thought. When I 1st hooked it up & turned it on, I could smell gas bad but I let it go & after about 10min or so the far left burner finally lit but it was the only one. I got a flashlight & looked in the back of it & could see that the little gas nipples were pretty much covered over with gunk. I pulled the plate off the bottom/front & cleaned them the best I could & used a small pc of wire to clean the holes out. It seems to be working better but still not right. Now all burners will light except the 1 second to the left. Also, when I turn the thermastat to turn it on, it has to go all the way to 5 before it'll kick on. At that point you can hear & feel it kick on but when you try to turn it down, it shuts completely off when you reach 4&1/2-5. It seems to be either all or nothing.
