Thesis statement for Marriage and Cohabitation?

Question

I am writing a Paper for a sociology class and i seem to be having a hard time coming up with ideas. i've done alot of research on the topic but i can't seem to write a GOOD thesis statement. I want to write about Cohabitation and Marriage. Any thoughts or ideas? Any will do just to spark something in my head!! thanks for ur time!
