Thesis statement help about Polar Bears on the Endangered Species List?

Question

I have to write a 10 page research paper on the threat global warming poses on wildlife, namely polar bears. As you probably already know, polar bears were just added to the Endangered Species list last week. My paper needs to be focused around a central theme or question and have an argument for a particular point of view.

My problem is that I am not coming up with any wonderful ideas that I could argue for 10 pages except for that polar bears should have been put on the list a long time ago since there was scientific evidence of the sea ice melting.
