They have stopped making VHS but does the new DVHS work in regular VCRs or no I know they sell DVHSs ?

vhs is not entirely dead, warehouses will have old stock available for decades. DVHS and Digital S uses the same cassette but metal tape, just like miniDV, so it is not compatible for use in old VCRs.
