okay he's a black cat and really fluffy...he's turning grey around the neck and tail....i work at a community college and this cat showed up like a month ago....he sleeps under some bushes on the right side of the school...he is kinda skinny but i always see himm hunting squirrels and eating bugs.....and i cant feed him becasue it would be against school policy....by the way ima secutiy guard....welll i call this cool cat Buddie....he's the nicest cat....he had to have been for someone he is too nice to just be a stray.....so0o heres Buddie's schedule....when i get to work at 2:30 he sleeps until it starts to get dark which is around 6:30 7:00....then he comes out the bushes and just about every student that walks by he just meows at them and rubs on them and tries to walk between their feet to stop them i guess to pet him....well some students think he's cute but alot of students are scared of him because he's a "black cat".....i told the chancellor about him and she said just to keep an eye on him and if he gets sick then i need to call a shelte. welll Buddie isnt sick from what i can tell and i had cats for 20 years now....the problem is is that i have to go and stand out there for an hour at a time and pet him or stand by him so the studentd dont kick him or shoo him away....i dont want Buddie to get hurt....and he's so0o nice....the reason why i never took him home is becasue the place i live we cant have animals....the reason i never called the shelter is because i am waiting for a student to fall in love with him and take him home and also because i dont want the shelter to put the cat down because he is so kind hearted....can someone help??

  1. I think if you take him to a shelter they will probably find someone to adopt him.

  2. call a rescue group or a no kill shelter to come get him. that way he can get medical treatment (vaccines, deworming, 3F tested, and neutered) then he can be put up for adoption to a loving pre-screened home. check on petfinder.com and look for a list of no kill shelters or rescue groups near you.

I have 13 rescue cats. 6 of them are black. I am sorry that some people still have that ignorant superstition about black cats.

Thank you for trying to help Buddie

  3. See if you can find a responsible family member or friend who can give buddie a good home. If not contact a no kill shelter and they will be able to find buddie a good home.

  4. he is starving and is begging the humans for food.

he is not feral, he is an abandoned pet, which is why he begs the students for help.

find a rescue group that will take him or find him a home.

    try a found cat ad.

  5. I would contract a rescue or a no kill shelter to come help the cat.
