  1. all animals have this,  they do get use to certain presances.

  2. Well, they can sense fear,  Pregnancy and illness, so why not.

I'm sure you feel different just before and after a thunderstorm too.

Depends on the energy involved. IDK if you have ever walked into an empty room and felt left -over emotions in there, I have.

They do pick up on some, but may ignore others.

I thought my dog could see in the dark - I was wrong, as he proved when falling off a path down a 10ft drop. Fortunately he was on an extending leash - which payed out then snapped like some Jaws movie!

  3. I think that animals do have a 6th sense and that they can see things that humans don't. I've had experiences of hearing something and upon investigation my dog begins barking at a wall.

  4. I believe all animals have a sensitivity to the paranormal that humans don't.  Or it may be that paranormal forces present themselves to animals because they sense that animals are a more benign lifeform.

  5. Animals don't get it drilled into their brains by society to ignore any of their senses, so they are more sensitive to see spirits than we are.

I believe we are all born with the ability to use our sixth sense as well - but we are taught to tune it out & ignore it, as we grow.  It is not our society norm to be accepting of this sense, to nurture and develop it, because it cannot be fully explained. People tend to fear what they do not know or understand - so they would rather push it away then try to learn more about it.

Animals don't really have this problem.

Perhaps sometimes they don't react to a spirit because they get used to its presence or don't feel threatened by it, just as they would be around a family member.
