Question:

They say that global warming adds from 1 to 3 degrees temperature. Is this a load of bull?

In Yellowknite where the temp dives to -50 should they epect balmy -47 degree days when this kicks in. Yellowknife will become the Canadian Arctic's own island paradise. So far global warming has added enough heat to this frigid winter to keep us all alive. I appreciate that even if no one else does. And the so-called climate change scientists at the UN do not even mention this.

  1. this is not a load of bull. unfortunately this is true. i would hope that you would take this more serious than just a mention of a change in temperature in a place where a slight change would not cause any damage. the damage comes from cities near the ocean. 1-3 degree changes causes ice caps to melt and releases more water therefore raising the water levels. roughly translated cities near ocean would flood and possibly displace millions of people. you have to remember a large percentage of people live near oceans. the worst part is that the ice caps contain a lot more methane and once release speed up the process of global warming. global warming is a serious threat has shown to affect weather patterns such as hurricanes, drought and rainfall. hope that helps.

  2. Watch "an inconvenient truth" then you won't have to ask the same stupid question that 10,000 other idiots have asked this money.

  3. Winter doesn't count to an GW or AGW person because it's cold and doesn't fit into their model.

AGW and GW doesn't come up to MN during the winter either.  Of course we're not as cold as you are...    Been a very cold (below normal winter in MN), also very snowy (above normal), all of which...  OF COURSE points to GW or AGW happening...

Global warming causes global cooling...  don't ya know...

  4. its a loaded bull alright

  5. I do not believe that anyone has said that our temperature extremes are going to be warmer any time soon. If we have a shift in average temperatures, we will not be able to predict that our coldest day will be less cold.

We can anticipate that our warmest days will be warmer. When we see the arctic ice melting, it is not melting in mid winter.

The big heat pump that our weather systems somewhat simulate move volumes of air with energy derived from water vapor over the oceans. But in doing that, they also shift cold air down on the poles in the winter, down from above, and in turn pull cold air out of the arctic, across the northern land mass.

Until we manage to get all the air warmed up, weather systems will continue pulling that cold air down on us. That may not be in my lifetime.

  6. no it is not bull and it is only the beginning

one degree rise in global temperature equates with 10% croploss.

  7. I watched a show (some of it anyway) last night, (6 degrees).  What a load that was.  I don't know how they can claim that western Europe will turn to deserts like North Africa with a one or two degree change.  A 6 year old could probably figure out that something doesn't fit yet apparently Alarmists have problems with this sort of basic Math.  How does adding one degree to 70 turn it magically to 110 degrees.  It is another demonstration of the exaggeration that the alarmist use that they suggest is "science."

  8. When you say "global warming" do you mean what we as a species has done to the ecosystem, or do you mean the natural cycle of the planet.  They're two different things.  We as a species have helped speed up the natural process, but we are not totally and completely responsible for what is happening.

Yes, the temperature is rising.  Yes the ice caps are melting (in certain areas).  However, the centers of the ice caps are becoming thicker (depending on who you talk to).  Should we be worried?  I doubt it.  Should we invest in renewable energy sources?  Of course.  Should we protect the environment from all the harm we've caused?  Of course.  Is the world going to end in a giant catastrophic flood, causing famine, plague, and death everywhere?  I doubt it.  At least, not in our lifetimes.

  9. If you know the basics of science, a slight increase of temperature over time is absolutely normal to occur. This is called "climate change".

Global warming, based on definition, is different.

Why on earth do you assume so unquestioningly that Al Gore is infallible? Try thinking for yourself.
