  1. The beholder is the one that is looking.  Just because one person says something is beautiful doesn't mean everyone will think its beautiful.  Every one has different tastes and opinions.

  2. the beholder would be the one looking at something and could think it's the most beautiful thing every but then someone else could look at it and think it is the most ugliest thing ever because everyone has there own taste!

  3. no one should say people are "ugly" the beholder is God, he's the only one to judge people. leave the beauty judging to the big JC. but looking at everyone elses answers......this is what I think it should mean.

  4. You are a beholder.

    I am a beholder.

Lets say an old beat up car passes by and I like it but you don't than beauty is in my eye. Meaning I found beauty in the car reguardless of how ugly it is to you. Hope it helps.

  5. It basically means that beauty may not be seen by everyone, whether on the inside or the outside.

  6. What you see as beauty could be ugly for someone else... for example, it seems that everyone thinks roses are beautiful, I think daffodils are so much prettier. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
