The midfielder opted for a January move away from San Siro to Paris Saint-Germain, and has never made an effort to hide his adverse feeling for his former club.

away, but then Gasperini wanted me at all costs and the club decided to keep hold of me. I was very upset.”

However, he pointed out that things between him and Esteban Cambiasso were less than ideal, and they had difficulty getting along with each other.
“Walter Samuel is a very good man, I had a normal rapport with Javier Zanetti and knew Diego Milito from our time at Genoa. With the others and Cambiasso, though, things weren’t right. We didn’t get along at all.”
