The Brazilian has had a wonderful campaign in the AC Milan colours which has consequently attracted interest in the defender, with Milan rebuffing
any approaches.
The Rossoneri have not hidden the fact that they aim to keep their star defender at the club, and have no intention of parting ways with the player. Galliani
was pointing specifically in the direction of the Barcelona President. 
The Diavolo and the Blaugrana were in action on Wednesday night for the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-finals at the San Siro. The match ended
in a goalless draw, with the second leg of the tie a fortnight away. 
Thiago Silva has come on record to state that he has been approached by the Catalan giants for a move to their club last summer. The San Siro outfit have
been extremely impressed by the performances of the competent Brazilian, and are thinking of making him the club captain to show how much they value the star.
Despite increasing amounts of interest for the acquisition of the central-defender's services, the AC Milan CEO has stated that they would rebuff any offers
that came to prise him away from the San Siro. The Rossoneri vice president was giving an interview to Tuttosport and was quoted to have said:
"If Sandro Rosell asks me about Thiago Silva, my answer will be courteous but firm: he is not for sale."
The 27-year-old will not be involved over the course of the two legs of the quarter-finals, as he aggravated a slight knock he was carrying in the game
against AS Roma. There were question marks on the inclusion of the defender in the game against the Giallorossi, but Massimiliano Allegri gambled on his selection nevertheless. The gamble backfired and the centre-defender limped off within the starting ten
minutes of the match. 
Galliani earlier stated that such instances were normal in the game of football, and they were not overly critical of the situation. When competing at the
top, such scenarios are bound to arise.
The Diavolo chief heaped praise on their opponents in the quarter-finals, and suggested that they were a treat to watch, and further commented:
"I always follow the games of Barcelona as they are a fantastic team. I really like the way they play, they are a great advertisement for football.”
The match at Nou Camp is poised to be a cracker, and a goal filled draw would ensure Milan’s progression into the semi-finals of the Champions League.
