The newly promoted skipper of les Parisiens believes that the French giants are yet to be feared by their opponents like other big clubs, knowing they have what it takes to be among the top European teams.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer and since his arrival at Parc des Princes, the Brazilian has turned out to be a reliable stopper for the Paris-based outfit for their bid to win some silverware this season.
The center-back has been a consistent performer throughout the season, both in the Ligue 1 as well as being one of the best defenders in the Champions League.
Although, les Parisiens have been spending cash for securing the services of several big players, they’re still unable to deliver the results that were expected of them. PSG currently possess a star-studded squad with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029, Ezequiel
Lavezzi and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082, including several other big name signings on their way, such as the Brazilian star, Lucas Moura from Sao Paulo.
The skipper is happy at the club and believes that the French outfit has everything to be included among the Europe’s elite. But to create that image, the club must prove that, by showing results that would make other sides consider Paris Saint-Germain as
dangerous opponents.
Upon comparing his current club with his former, AC Milan, the Brazilian stated that:
“Milan’s name is more feared than PSG’s at the moment because they have won the Champions League seven times.”
The defender praised les Parisiens for returning to the Champions League after a period of long absence, and are also considered as serious title contentders. The former Milan center-back also said:
“We’re back in the competition after don’t know how many years, so people don’t have that respect for us yet. That will come with the victories, with hard work and good football, so that’s what we’re looking to do.”
Paris Saint-Germain have been knocked-out by AS Saint-Etienne in the Coupe de la Ligue, and now their complete focus is diverted towards winning the Championnat. While the league is a priority, the club also seeks to win the Champions League, and develop
themselves as threatening opponents among the top European clubs.
