As shocking as it may seem, Italian giants AC Milan have contacted PSG once again to discuss a possible deal for Thiago Silva, despite declining to sell their star player initially
The two clubs had held talks last month regarding Silva’s possible transfer to PSG and it was reported that the Paris club were willing to offer 50 million Euros for the defender.
Talks were in very advanced stage and it was expected that Milan will consider selling their star player. However, club President Silvio Berlusconi decided not to sell the player.
Considered by many as the best central defender in the world right now, Silva is keen to be handed a new contract at San Siro. The Brazilian’s agent, Paulo Tonietto said that his client expects Milan to give him an improved contract which would see him earn
as much as what Les Parisiens were offering the player.
“If AC Milan has no interest in selling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 a new contract equivalent to that of the highest rated player in Milan"
Milan view Silva’s demand to be too big and are reluctant to meet his demands. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 international is receiving 4 million Euros per year and wants 7.5 million Euros annually.
AC Milan are not on the same level with PSG financially and are unable to meet Silva’s demand. That has forced Silvio Berlusconi to change his stance regarding player’s future and according to reports, AC Milan are willing to renegotiate with PSG.
If Milan fail to meet the demands of the Brazilian, Thiago Silva will consider handing-in a transfer request and there is strong possibility that the player will end up in Paris before the end of transfer window.
Thiago Silva has been the most consistent performer for the Italian giants in last few years helping them at both domestic and European level. The 27-year-old has made 118 club appearances for The Red and Blacks, scoring 6 goals in the process.
Whether Thiago Silva will remain with Rossoneri or will he join the Paris-revolution, only time will tell. However one of the biggest transfer sagas of this summer is one the horizon.
