A.C Milan defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903, believes that Arsenal’s strike force has more in offering apart from just Robin Van Persie.
The defender was talking in the wake of his team’s upcoming clash against the Gunners in the first-leg of last 16 round of UEFA Champions League at San Siro on Wednesday, 15 February 2012.
Van Persie has been in the headlines for his goal-scoring prowess in the ongoing season. The Dutchman has scored 28 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions this season, including four goals from six matches in the Champions
League. Several pundits believe that if the Rossoneri can stop Van Persie from scoring, they can win the game.
However, Silva believes that the North London side has many more top-class players at their disposal, and they should not make mistake of just focusing on the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 striker.
While talking to the reporters, Thiago Silva said,
“Arsenal are a great side and we have to watch everyone and not just Van Persie. We have to monitor all of their players because they are all quality. If you talk about just one player today then maybe tomorrow it will be another
one who has grabbed the headlines – we have to be careful about everyone.”
The Brazilian believes that the return of veteran striker, Thierry Henry, has done a world of good to the Gunners, and the Frenchman will have a huge impact in result of Wednesday’s game.
“He's a player who’s had a great history, not just with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. We must be careful because in every game where he comes on he does well. If you give him a little space he will certainly score, he has incomparable
quality.”
The first-leg at San Siro will be the last game for the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 striker before he returns to Major League Soccer. The 27-year-old is hoping for a win for his team, and wants to take a healthy lead to the return leg of
