Thicker guitar tone?

Question

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions to beef up my tone. I mess around with guitar and it is not my main instrument, so I am not looking to buy a ton of new gear, but I do have a range of tone I prefer. Does anyone have a good place to start??

The Tone Gods have heard your plea & have handed down their judgement.....

You are Lacking Overdrive & Must immediatly purchase a Stomp Box for improved Sustain and a small amount of distortion to thicken your sound.........A Good Inexpensive Overdrive is All you require....dont get nuts. Even the chinese can make a decent OD box they are not rocket science.

Some have more distortion than others, some have cheap cases (behringer) that wont hold up.

Try a: Dod YJM 308 Yngwie J Malmsteen Guitar Overdrive Pedal

or a:  Enlarge MXR ZW-44 ZAKK WYLDE OVERDRIVE GUITAR EFFECT PEDAL

Both are excellent and can be had for around 50 bucks.

Im guessing your going for like Slash tone? Or what. You weren't very specific. You need to punch up the bass, up the treble, and lower the mid range. Anyways...yea...
