http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thierry-Henry-c34918 to the Emirates, as the New York Red Bulls striker has agreed to a loan deal with the Gunners.
The Gunners have been in the hunt for a striker for a couple of weeks now, as the team looks to provide http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 with some much needed support up front.
However, when the opportunity to sign Henry presented itself, Arsene Wenger jumped at it, as he believes there is no player in the world, who can come close to what the French striker can offer the club.
Henry has already played alongside Van Persie in the past and hence it won’t be a problem for the two to form a partnership on the pitch once again.
At one point, it seemed like Arsenal wouldn’t be able to pull off the deal in time, with just hours left before the deadline for the player to be registered with the FA, in order for him to play in the FA Cup.
However, with just thirty five minutes to spare, the two teams and the player finally completed all the paper work and the striker will now be eligible to play against Leeds United.
The last time the striker played against Leeds, he went on to score four goals for the Gunners and he will be looking to repeat the same performance this time around.
At the moment, the player’s deal will see him be a Gunner till the 16th of February, but there is an option in the contract, which could see the deal get extended till the 26th of February.
The only problem that might arise, is when it comes to the player picking a jersey number at the club. Being the man who made the number 14 immortal at the club, he might be tempted to reclaim it from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873. However, the number 12 being available, might also be given to the player. However, with him training in the number 33, he might be willing to continue playing in it.
Nonetheless, what can be said assuredly, is the fact that the King of Arsenal is now back, as he looks to add to his record tally of two hundred and twenty six goals at the club.
