Question:

Thigh muscles REALLY sore for the past 2 days...?

After football practice 2 days ago my thigh muscles were really sore. Today I had practice and they were still sore and they were slowing me down A LOT. Are there any stretches or anything like that that could maybe get this muscle soreness away? Any remedy, exercise, anything really.

  1. Muscle soreness is normal after strenuous exercise, and it could well last 4 days or more depending on your own physical condition. You should make sure to warm up and stretch before practice, and make sure to stretch after. As far as dealing with your present condition, you could try having some one gently massage your legs using rollers, stretch the sore muscles as much as the pain will let you and take supplements containing antioxidants. If you just need some temporary relief  to practice, you may consider taking a couple of Advil's about an hour or so before practice; but exercise your best judgment.


  2. well if u havent ran lately or worked out your legs thats probably why, your legs arent used to the constant running and stuff. it will go away, i workout and the first time i worked out i was sore for about 5 days lol. it will go away and eventually your legs will get so used to it, that u wont get sore. your legs are getting stronger
