Thin Bright line is all I got on the tube

Question

I already paid for service on this set, different problem. The picture went "thin on me, with black belts on top and bottom. Shortly after it went to a thin white line, side to side. I threatened it with my 9mm, but it just smelt hot...kill it or what?
