Thin out long,thick,curly hair?

Question

the lady that does my hair always layer it but its still really thick, almost seems like she did nothing

would it get thinner if she thinned it with shears or a razor?

i have really thick curley hair too.....when i leave it curley it stays flat better when i wash it at night and then slep on it so it drys without poofing everywhere.  your hair will also looks thinner if you straighten it

I have really really curly, thick hair myself. And my hair dresser always tells me not to let anyone thin out my hair. It causes a bunch of really small hairs which end up growing out and making your hair even thicker. It's not pretty.

Ask to get your hair texturized. They use these weird scissors that cut away the dead hair.
