Things Miami Heat need to do to secure the NBA title next season: NBA Feature (Part-3)
Bring in a Parameter shooter
With the arrival of Mike Bibby in the middle of the 2010-2011 season, it was expected that Miami Heat’s bench play will receive a major boost up. However the veteran point guard Bibby couldn’t live up to the expectation of providing
Miami a substantial support down the stretch.
Mike Bibby, who is known for his long distance shooting, failed to keep the recognition coming into the South Beach. During the regular season games and preliminary rounds of the play-offs, Miami Heat didn’t face many problems
due to lack of support from the bench. However, at the time when it mattered the most, Miami’s struggle on the reserve became apparent in the NBA Finals against Dallas Mavericks.
Miami’s inconsistent plays down the stretch was the major weakness which was exploited by the veteran power Mavericks to force a number of meltdowns on Heat. And as a result, Dallas Mavericks raced away to secure the Championship
title.
One of the most important things Miami Heat needs to do is to bring in an imperative support on the bench. The team needs a couple of players with great shooting abilities especially from beyond the arc. Miami either needs to prepare
their existing reserves to stand up for the job or trade some reputed shooter of the league to realize their championship once again.
The thing that made the difference for Dallas Mavericks was that they had Jason Kidd and Jason Terry who triggered some exciting comebacks in defining moments of the game during the NBA Final series when the opposition was leading
comprehensively. While Miami Heat had players who failed to complete the job for the team.
Stay Healthy
The most important thing of all is that Miami Heat needs to make sure that all of their players especially the superstar trio LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are hundred percent fit and healthy when the next season starts.
The National Basketball Association is facing lockout at the moment with no definite answer of when the league will get back to business. During the time, many players are heading overseas to play basketball and involving themselves
in different activities to stay in shape.
Without the professional guidance of the team’s physical trainers, the players may carry injuries. Miami Heat’s line-up need to make sure that none of them gets a serious injury and should focus on winning the NBA title in the
next season whenever it starts.
Just Crop Up
Miami Heat is one the best sides in the league and they have everything what is required to be an NBA Champion. In fact, with the addition of LeBron James and Chris Bosh, the squad is stronger than the one who won the Championship
title back in 2006.
With the combination of the superstar trio, Miami Heat is in a natural state of winning. They just need to be confident and keep the action running until it is over.
If LeBron James keeps playing the way he was playing before the NBA Finals in the last season, Dwyane Wade continues to provide fireworks for the team as he always does and Chris Bosh keep supporting with his offensive prowess,
there is no reason Miami Heat will be the next NBA champions.
